Meet the team
Huw has a background in finance and is a passionate art collector. Frustrated with the art market's poor industry standards, he set up Lougher Contemporary in 2015 with the mission for it to become the leader in the secondary market sale of editions by established contemporary artists.
Lougher Contemporary’s offering is a reflection of the artists that Huw both collects and believes in, and should you ever find yourself speaking to him about why editions by established artists are the best area of the art market to buy into, be prepared for a long discussion! He values the ease in which you can buy and sell editions, the liquidity this area of the market offers, and the investment potential of the artworks we sell (an area of the market that continues to see year-on-year growth).
Digital Sales Director
Elliot spent over six years in the commercial gallery sector, working as a gallery manager in Belgravia and later in consultancy for a leading firm in central London. He has an MA in History of Art from the University of London, specialising in Post-War German Art and Photography. He joined Lougher Contemporary in 2018 to improve its digital experience for clients.
A passionate art collector, Elliot has deep knowledge of the market and advises clients on building their art collection, with a key focus on high value transactions.

Katrina completed a History of Art BA at the University of Bristol, specialising in live art and documenting performance for archives. After graduating, she worked with the university's Theatre Collection to help catalogue their Oliver Messel and Franko B collections.
Katrina oversees all stock acquisitions and manages Lougher Contemporary's consignment offering, working closely with consignors to realise the potential of their collections. Having joined Lougher Contemporary in 2019, Katrina has made significant contributions to most operational processes, from art handling through to post-sales.
Hannah has 7 years’ experience in the art industry as a studio technician and art handler. She has worked in the Damien Hirst studio with the 3D fabrication team and has been involved in national and international exhibitions. She has also previously worked in museums and galleries in Bristol and Bath, with both classic and contemporary collections.

Post-sales and Logistics Manager
Jo joined Lougher Contemporary as a sales associate in 2020 in her first professional position in the art world. Bringing her love of art and client services to the role, she has developed into a key member of the sales team. She supports clients with enquiries, buying, and handles all post-sale logistics and communications.
Hannah joined Lougher Contemporary in 2022. Together with Katrina and Huw, she is working to grow our consignment offering. She supports our consignors throughout their selling experience, from initial enquiries to arranging sales for them. Hannah also works closely with Bekkie to oversee the marketing of consignment artworks on our website and third-party platforms.
Bekkie studied History of Art at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2020. She recently finished a year on the British Museum’s Youth Collective and has volunteered in museums and galleries both in London and Bristol. She joined Lougher Contemporary in early 2021.
An experienced art handler, Bekkie spent the first nine months of her time with Lougher Contemporary as our art handler. She is now responsible for managing both our website and all 3rd party platforms, including Artsy where she is also now responsible for curating online exhibitions and private viewing rooms.

Fay is our trusted art handler, and is responsible for condition checking all artworks that arrive at the gallery, and then carefully packing them for safe onward transit to you, our clients. Envied by the rest of the team, Fay gets to spend her days with the art we sell and takes great pride in making sure that the artworks packed in-house arrive with you in good time and in the same condition as it left us.
