Meet the team
Huw Lougher
Managing Director
Huw has a background in finance and is a passionate art collector. Frustrated with the art market's poor industry standards, he set up Lougher Contemporary in 2015 with the mission for it to become the leader in the secondary market sale of editions by established contemporary artists.
Lougher Contemporary’s offering is a reflection of the artists that Huw both collects and believes in, and should you ever find yourself speaking to him about why editions by established artists are the best area of the art market to buy into, be prepared for a long discussion! He values the ease in which you can buy and sell editions, the liquidity this area of the market offers, and the investment potential of the artworks we sell (an area of the market that continues to see year-on-year growth).
