Our History.
Lougher is an online art gallery based in Bristol, United Kingdom.
Lougher started in 2015 to improve the way art is sold online, connecting the physical and digital worlds. We wanted to create an art gallery for all collectors, whether new or experienced in the art market.
Lougher aims to improve the way people purchase art online. We wanted to address issues such as unfair pricing, lack of transparency, and not engaging with digital audiences.
Over the past 9 years, we have earned acclaim for exhibiting and promoting editions by established contemporary artists.

Huw Lougher, the founder of Lougher, believes that editions offer a more affordable option for collectors. Art lovers can enjoy works by well-known artists without the high price tag of unique works.

For artworks not available to buy now, we offer a more bespoke buying service, advising our clients on all aspects of the acquisition process.

For artworks that we are not currently marketing, we offer a highly bespoke sourcing service, leveraging our extensive expertise and connections within the art community. We are well positioned to source rare and exclusive contemporary art editions.

Our tailored consignment service allows us to support our clients who are looking to sell. This includes clients who are looking to downsize their collection or freshen up their walls.

Lougher private sales focus on artworks with a minimum value of £50,000. Our private sale team work closely with our best clients, utilising our network to source and acquire rare and extraordinary works of art.
