Jeff Koons · series
Balloon Animals
Jeff Koons's Balloon Animals turn the twisted party balloon into gleaming, mirror-like sculpture. The motif goes back to his Celebration series, begun in the 1990s, which included the monumental stainless-steel Balloon Dog.
These smaller editions are made in Limoges porcelain with a chromatic coating, produced with the French porcelain house Bernardaud, and are signed and numbered. They include the Balloon Dog in several colours and the Balloon Swan, Balloon Monkey and Balloon Rabbit, issued between 2015 and 2021. Lougher also has the Balloon Dog Presentation Set, Balloon Animals Sets I and II with matching numbers, and the six-piece Balloon Animals Collector's Set.
